El Shaddai Japanese Xbox 360 Demo Highlight

Hey, how’s it going lupe121283 here again and I am pissed at blogger.  So for users of blogger there was a bad problem that arise on friday.  So basically a lot of my post that I had done on that day are gone.  Also it made me behind schedule on my writing, especially since finals is coming up.  So here is this week release:

El Shaddai:
El Shaddai has been getting some sort of attention from video games blogs.  I see why it has been getting the attention.  It is a beautiful looking game while having a unique atmosphere to it.  The footage I recorded was a blind run, I didn’t have time to practice like I usually do with other demo.  So here is my thoughts on the demo: it’s actually quite fun.  I usually reserve my opinions on games until I get to fully play them.  Even though I haven’t played the full game, I am actually liking how the game is going so far.  I was having some control issues in the beginning of the demo, I have been playing way too much FPS lately.

So as you can in the demo highlight it’s an action game with the depending on the stage, the camera is either behind the character (not over the shoulder e.i. third person view) or side view in others.  This created a problem for in some areas because platforms are hard to tell if you are going to make it or not.  That is just a problem for playing the game the first, easily learnable.  You start the demo with no weapons, just your fist.  You get your first weapon as part of the tutorial sequence where it teaches you to purify weapons from enemies and make them your own.  The demo provides with another type of enemy that gives you a different weapon.  This weapon can be considered the projectile weapon of the game.  It utilizes something like energy bullets or arrows to do the attack.  I do like how the way the weapons does it air launch on the enemy.  The problem as with most type of long range weapon is that getting close is not ideal.  The air launcher attack gives a weird sense that you have to be close to initialize, so that mistake got to me early on.  I like arrow weapon of this game, but I I do get my but-kicked pretty often with it.  It’s a hard weapon to master from the looks of it, so it’s more defensive than anything else.  What I don’t get is that the weapons darkens over time from the white color scheme.

I need more practice writing so this is it for now.  Thanks and godbye.
