Halo: Reach Solo Firefight Vol. 19 - 38

Hey how's it going it's lupe121283 again and welcome to another batch of Halo: Reach Solo Firefight for my uploading pleasure.  Main reason I uploaded them was so that I can get rid of them from my Harddrive.  They are pretty easy to record and then to render.  Here is the basic outline how I do them.

Process:
  • Go to Theater Mode in Halo: Reach and see which footage I can use.
  • I write down in a notepad most of the match information so that I can put in the intro of the video (there is no real reason why I do it, I just like that info)
  • I use a Dazzle 100 and Pinnacle Studio 14 to do my recording.  My Dazzle 100 was a refurbished purchase that cost me $20 about two years.  Only until recently I am able to actually record it.  I still wish for a HDPVR (High Definition Personal Video Recorder) so that my stuff can come out much higher quality.
  • I use Sony Vegas 9.0 to "pad" recording.  Which means that I interlaced the recording to take out lines from the recording.  If you ever record from a TV you will get those lines that look ugly.  Basically you do it so that it blends in the lines.  Two hour recording takes about 7-8 hours to just take out the lines with Sony Vegas rendering setting of 10MB bitrate, "best" setting, 60 fps (personal taste, won't show up youtube recording since it's set up at 30fps only), and file format .wmv.
  • I then use that padded footage (I do edit it before padding to fit in more footage), do some more edit, copy the match info from the notepad into the begging intro, add the intro and ending prerecorded stuff, and then render.  Rendering at this point takes about 40-60 minutes for a 7-10 solo firefight.
  • Rendering setting: Sony AVC (mp4) 6MB Bitrate, Preview setting, and 30fps.  This is the final upload setting.
That is it.  So the rundown of time is like this:
  • Record for about 2-3 hours of footage Roughly about 8 matches
  • Edit and pad the footage overnight (footage about 2-3 hours, render takes about 6-8 hours)
  • In the morning then add the footage to Sony Vegas 9.0 and then do some slight Edit. (about 3 minutes to do per match)
  • Render again for final upload. (about 40-60 minutes for a 7-10 minutes footage.
Thanks for reading this incoherent information I wrote down.  I will use this post for future Halo: Reach Solo Firefight I will do in the future.  I won't update it, just use this post.  Thanks and goodbye.
